Information we collect

You can generate individual citations without creating an account. When you search by DOI, ISBN, URL, title or source details, the submitted identifier or source text may be processed so we can retrieve metadata and render a citation. If you create an account, we store your email address, display name, saved projects, citations, notes and export-related project settings.

How we use information

We use this information to provide citation lookup, save and sync your projects, keep your session secure, respond to support requests, prevent abuse and improve the reliability of the generator.

Cookies and analytics

We use first-party cookies for login sessions and basic security. The site may also use analytics scripts to understand aggregate traffic and product usage. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising retargeting profiles.

Metadata services

Citation lookup may rely on third-party metadata sources such as Crossref, OpenLibrary and page metadata extraction. A DOI, ISBN, URL or search string may be sent to those services only when needed to find source metadata.

Retention and deletion

Saved projects remain in your account until you delete them or ask us to delete your account data. Operational logs may be kept for security, debugging and abuse prevention for a limited period. You can request access, correction or deletion by contacting [email protected].
